Any way you slice it, Kevin Rice is one of the most efficient players in the league. He shoots 35.3% off the dodge (7th in MLL) and 45.2% off the catch (8th in MLL). As a passer, nobody creates looks for teammates while protecting the ball like Rice.

His 1.31 assist-to-turnover ratio was best among players with 10 or more assists. Rice dished out passes in all scenarios: 11 in settled sets, 7 in fast break or “early” offense situations and 3 on extra-man opportunities.

Eight of Rice’s 21 assists were to his college teammate, Randy Staats. The Blaze acquired Rice and Staats’ third linemate — Dylan Donahue — and should benefit from the chemistry those three developed at Syracuse.
